STATE COLLEGE — Foxdale Village announced through a press release that Kristen Ashton has been awarded a $1,200 scholarship from LeadingAge PA for its 2021 Professional Development Scholarship Program.
Ashton serves as a social worker for Foxdale Village and will use her scholarship towards a masters of counseling program, from which she will graduate in the Spring of 2022. She plans to use her degree to provide counseling services to older adults, expanding the quality of emotional and mental support she can provide to Foxdale residents.
“Kristen has a natural ability to not only connect with others but walk alongside them in their next chapter of life. Her strong sense of commitment to our residents and our community is vibrant and contagious. It continues to be a joy to work with and support Kristen.” said Meg Clouser, director of Health Services.
