Children’s Story Time — Saturday, Oct. 26

There will be a Children’s Story Time with a Centre County librarian at Howard United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 26. There will be a session for babies and parents at 11:15 a.m. and a Pre-K and parent session at 11:45 a.m.

Polish Dinner Fundraiser — Saturday, Oct. 26

There will be a Polish Dinner Fundraiser from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bellefonte. There will be cabbage rolls, pierogies, kielbasa, noodles and desserts.

Line Dancing Fundraiser — Saturday, Oct. 26

Bald Eagle Area Relay for Life is hosting a line dancing fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Our Lady — The Snow Skating Rink in Snow Shoe. There will be both open dancing and instruction with food trucks and bubble tea.

Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society Train Rides — Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27

The Bellefonte Historical Railroad is offering round-trip train rides between Bellefonte and various destinations including Tyrone, Mill Hall, Dale Summit, Lemont, Axemann and Milesburg on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27. Tickets for the train rides can be found at Bellefontetrain.org.

Love Songs, Daydreams and Bedtime Stories — Sunday, Oct. 27

The choral concert Love Songs, Daydreams and Bedtime Stories will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County in State College. The concert features work by Andrea Ramsey, Stephen Paulus and more with the world premiere of PA composer, P. Brent Register. General admission tickets are $12, and student tickets are $10.

Learn More About Your Smartphone — Monday, Oct. 28

The Mid-State Literacy Council is hosting a free technology class on smartphones at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Howard. The class will dive into the pros and cons of smartphones and their features. Attendees do not need to bring a phone to the class. To register for the free event, email stmarksnydertown@gmail.com.

Lion Mobile Clinic Visit — Monday, Oct. 28

Then Lion Mobile Clinic will be visiting the Centre Hall Library parking lot at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28. The Lion Mobile Clinic offers free health screenings and flu shots with no insurance or appointment needed.

Judy Densevich Memorial All You Can Eat Soup and Salad Dinner — Monday, Oct. 28

The Judy Densevich Memorial All You Can Eat Soup and Salad Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (or until food runs out) on Monday, Oct. 28, at the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus in Bellefonte. It’s $10 to dine in or take the soup to go. There will be at least two soup options, multiple salads, bread and plenty of homemade desserts.

PA CareerLink Centre County Job Fair — Tuesday, Oct. 29

The PA CareerLink Centre County Job Fair is from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte. Guests are invited to meet and connect with more than 40 employers from different industries such as manufacturing, health, education, retail, transportation, government, tech, hospitality and construction. There is free admission, free parking and the Twisted Whisk food truck will be there. High school students are encouraged to attend.

Bird Walks with The State College Bird Club — Tuesday, Oct. 29

The State College Bird Club is inviting participants to start off their day observing local birds from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center in State College. The bird walks are guided by members of the State College Bird Club and are open to all ages. Guests are asked to dress weather-ready and bring binoculars. The program is free but a donation of $5 per participant is encouraged and supports Millbrook Marsh Nature Center.

Howard Day at the Centre County Library — Tuesday, Oct. 29

It will be Howard Day at the Centre County Library, Bellefonte branch at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Guests can come for a tour of the library from staff, get a library card and start accessing the library’s many resources.

Life Recovery Meeting — Thursday, Oct. 31

There will be a Life Recovery Meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, at Access Church in State College. The group will go over the 12 steps of recovery, a set of biblical principles in substance use disorder treatment that outlines a plan of action for taking on drug and/or alcohol addiction.
