The second event in the Friday in the ‘Fonte Summer Series will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26, throughout downtown Bellefonte. The series features free live music and fun for the whole family throughout the summer for guests to enjoy and celebrate Bellefonte’s shopping, dining, arts and craft beverages.

Movies in the Park — Friday, July 26
After Friday in the ’Fonte, Movies in the Park will be from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26, in Bellefonte’s Talleyrand Park. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets for a viewing of “Encanto” beginning at dusk. Now hosted by Downtown Bellefonte Inc., Movies in the Park was run by the Bellefonte Women’s Club for many years.

St. Mark Lutheran Church’s Summer Outdoor Concert Series — Friday, July 26
St. Mark Lutheran Church’s Summer Outdoor Concert Series continues on Friday, July 26, under the pavilion at St. Mark in Howard. The evening will begin at 6 p.m., with folk musician Woody Wolfe Jr. taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring a blanket or a lawn chair to enjoy an evening of roasting hot dogs over a fire pit, making s’mores, relaxing with friends and family and more.

Concerts on the Village Green, a weekly musical performance at the Lemont Village Green in Lemont, will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 26. The event will feature the band Blue Eyed Sally.

Reptile Meet and Greet — Saturday, July 27
There will be a Reptile Meet and Greet at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, in the Community Room of the Centre County Library, Bellefonte location. Registration is required for the event and can be found on the Centre County Library under Bellefonte Events, centrecountylibrary.org/Bellefonte-events. The interactive event from Discovery by Nature will teach guests about herpetology, with three live animals, snake skins, frog skeletons and more. The program is intended for families and kids.

Garden-Inspired Nature Journaling — Saturday, July 27
Guests are invited to an afternoon of creativity with Garden-Inspired Nature Journaling from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Penn State University Park’s Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm. Guests can create their own personal nature journal, engage in sensory activities and enjoy a garden walk at the event. Guests will also get the chance to plant and take home their own seedling.

Crystal Workshop — Saturday, July 27
The Boal Mansion Museum and Colombus Chapel are hosting a Crystal Workshop led by Springhill Paranormal Investigators from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, in the Boal Barn Playhouse in Boalsburg. Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $15 or at the door for $20 and can be bought online at boalmusuem.com. The Crystal Workshop is an introduction to the metaphysical properties and healing energy of crystals, gemstones and rocks as well as how to care for them, how to appreciate their properties and how to use them in one’s everyday life.

3 Dots Downtown is hosting a Community Jazz Jam from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, outside the organization’s location in downtown State College. The jam will be led by experienced players of all ages, but players and singers of all levels are welcome to walk right up and play.

Millheim Summerfest will feature a variety of activities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28, at Millheim’s Pisano Winery, the Millheim Hotel, Elk Creek Café and Creekside. There will be live music, vendors, crafts and more.

East Penns Valley Library will have a book sale during Millheim Summerfest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the Millheim Fire Company Garage. Summerfest kicks off the Route 45 Getaways with lots of fun and action from local businesses and organizations.

Legacy Day of the Civilian Conservation Corps — Sunday, July 28
The Centre County Historical Society is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as well as William Marcum, a local historian and research authority on the Poe Valley CCC Camp, for Legacy Day of the Civilian Conservation Corps. The program is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at Poe Valley State Park in Coburn. The day-long program will also include a lunch inspired by authentic CCC menu boards. The family event is free, but donations are appreciated. Guests can RSVP at centrehistory.org/ccc.

South Hills Free Music Picnic Series — Sunday, July 28
The next event of the South Hills School of Business and Technology’s Music Picnic Series will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the school’s State College campus. Coal Aly Band will be performing on the north lawn of the school, with grounds opening at 4 p.m. Coal Aly Band specializes in Motown and rhythm and blues, daring their audience not to sing along. The event is free and open to the public, with free parking. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for sitting.

Summer Sounds from the Gazebo will feature Adam and the Armadillos at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, in Bellefonte’s Talleyrand Park. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for sitting. Summer Sounds from the Gazebo began in 1981, bringing musical styles such as folk, pop, rock, jazz and more to Bellefonte.

Tuesdays on the Terrace is an open mic and variety showcase hosted by Joe Belle from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, at 3 Dots in downtown State College. All talents are welcome to the lighthearted accessible evening on the patio. Guests are invited to perform a song, sing karaoke, deliver a monologue, share a poem or delight the audience with whatever inspires them. The event is free.

The Ferguson Township Municipal Mixer will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at Suburban Park in State College. The community is invited to an evening of fun including bike safety checks and registration, touch-a-truck, Schlow Library’s Books on Bikes, community updates, food trucks and more. The rain date for the event is Thursday, Aug. 1.
