Food Truck Fundraiser — Saturday, May 11
There will be a food truck fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, in the parking lot of Bald Eagle Area High School in Wingate. The fundraiser will support the Wingate Warriors Relay for Life Team. Several food trucks will be in attendance with gyros, drinks, cinnamon buns and more.

Salvation Baptist Church Car Show/Meet — Saturday, May 11
The Salvation Baptist Church Car Show/Meet is a fundraiser to support a group of missionaries heading to Moldova. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, at the Salvation Baptist Church in State College. Admission to the show is free, but those interested in displaying their vehicles can register for $15 ahead of time or $20 at the door. There will also be prizes, competitions, food, music and a raffle.

29th Annual Plant Celebration and Garden Sale — Saturday, May 11
The 29th Annual Plant Celebration and Garden Sale at the Centre Furnace Mansion in State College will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. The event will have a wide variety of native and non-native plants from local growers for sale. From shrubs and flowers to trees and herbs, there will be something for everyone.

Centre County Ballroom Dance — Sunday, May 12
There will be a Centre County Ballroom Dance from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, at Landmark Hall in Bellefonte. The dance will start with a rumba lesson, and ballroom dancing will follow. Admission is $10 per person, and guests are asked to bring a snack to share.

State College Area Municipal Band Mother’s Day Concert — Sunday, May 12
The State College Area Municipal Band’s annual Mother’s Day concert will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, at Mount Nittany Middle School in State College. The concert’s theme is “A Musical Celebration of Love and Light,” with a performance by Peggy Shipley, the principal flutist for the band. The concert is free, but donations are appreciated.

Bird Walks with the State College Bird Club — Tuesday, May 14
The State College Bird Club invites you to start your morning off by observing birds that migrate to and through Centre County from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center in State College. The program is open to everyone but is especially ideal for beginners. Guests are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring a pair of binoculars. The event is free, but a donation of $5 is suggested to support Millbrook Marsh.
