Roller Derby Championships — Friday, May 17, Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19
The State College Area Roller Derby is hosting this year’s Women’s Flat Track Derby Association North American Regionals Tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 17, Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, at Pegula Ice Arena in State College. Skaters from all over the region will be rolling in to compete. Guests are invited to join in the excitement and cheer on competitors.

Centre County Master Gardeners Plant Sale — Saturday, May 18
The Centre County Master Gardeners are hosting their annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the Ag Progress Days site in Pennsylvania Furnace. More than 5,000 plants will be available for sale, including vegetables, flowers, shrubs and more. Additionally, there will be activities for the family, educational talks and advice from the Master Gardeners.

Plant and Bag Lunch Sale — Saturday, May 18
Local Garden Club is hosting a two-in-one plant and bag lunch sale in conjunction with the Baileyville Community Hall’s Spring Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the hall in Pennsylvania Furnace. The Local Garden Club will be offering plants from their garden as well as plants from Rozick’s Greenhouse in Tyrone. There will be hanging baskets, vegetable plants, perennials, native plants and more. A bag lunch will also be available with the choice of a turkey or ham sandwich plus potato chips and a brownie.

East Penns Valley Library Plant Sale — Saturday, May 18
Millheim’s East Penns Valley Library is hosting its semiannual fundraiser plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, in the parking lot of Burkholder’s Market in Spring Mills. Community members and local greenhouses have donated a large selection of plants for guests to choose from. East Penns Valley Library is donation based and volunteer run, providing library services close to home for residents in the East Penns Valley area.

Bellefonte Trinity United Methodist Church is hosting Pentecost in the Park, featuring live music, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, at Talleyrand Park in Bellefonte. Friends and neighbors are invited to bring out a lawn chair to celebrate with a performance from the praise band RHODES.

Smith + Front’s first Sunday Funday of the year will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, in the grassy lot in front of Smith + Front in Bellefonte. There will be dozens of pop-ups, food trucks, vintage items, small businesses and more.

Solar 101 — Sunday, May 19
The nonprofit Solar United Neighbors is hosting a Solar 101 information session from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at Organic Climbing in Philipsburg. The information session offers the community a chance to learn more about going solar with the Centre County Solar and EV Charger Co-op. Guests can meet SUN solar experts, learn more about solar technology and get questions answered. The co-op is free to join, and members are not required to buy solar panels.

Knit Wits: Crocheting and Knitting Club — Monday, May 20
The Knit Wits: Crocheting and Knitting Club will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at the Holt Memorial Library in Philipsburg. All skill levels are invited to join, and guests are asked to bring projects they’re currently working on. No sign-up is needed.

State College Photo Club Monthly Meeting — Monday, May 20
The State College Photo Club will have its monthly meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at the Patton Township Municipal Building meeting room in State College. At this meeting, Linda Hale of the Art Alliance will be giving a talk on studio portrait lighting and topics such as equipment, lighting tips, camera settings, styling and post processing. The State College Photo Club monthly meetings consist of workshops, advice sessions, competitions, photo talks and field trips. The club is open to anyone interested in photography. All skill levels and cameras are welcome.

PA CareerLink Job Fair — Wednesday, May 22
PA CareerLink Centre County is hosting a job fair from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte. The event will be open at 12:45 p.m. for exclusive access for military veterans before the public is admitted. More than 40 employers will be in attendance from sectors such as manufacturing, retail, health care, education and more. The job fair is free and open to the public with free parking as well. Additionally, there will be a couple of food trucks at the event for guests to enjoy.

Music on the Green — Thursday, May 23
The Annette Yorks Group of Perry Wellington and Ford McNutt Professional Choice Mortgage are sponsoring Music on the Green from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at the Annette Yorks Group of Perry Wellington Realty in Boalsburg. Guests are invited to bring out a lawn chair to enjoy the music of the Corner Brothers. Light refreshments will also be provided.
