Snydertown Community Yard Sale — Thursday, April 10, through Saturday, April 12
The Snydertown Community is hosting its annual community yard sale from, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Thursday, April 10, through Saturday, April 13, along Syndertown Road in Howard.
As part of the yard sale, guests are invited to park at Saint Mark Lutheran Church as they walk along Snydertown Road for the yard sales.
The church will also be hosting an indoor yard sale with food and refreshments including breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, soup, barbecue and baked goods. All sales from Saint Mark’s indoor yard sale will go to Saint Mark’s Social Action Committee and Pantry.
Greyhound Meet and Greet — Saturday, April 12
Nittany Greyhounds is hosting a meet and greet with adoptable greyhounds from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Pet Supplies Plus in State College during the Spring Fling.
April is Adopt a Greyhound Month and guests are invited to meet retired racing greyhounds and learn more about the dogs.
Easterly Parkway Spring Clothing Shop — Saturday, April 12
Easterly Parkway Elementary is hosting a Spring Clothing Swap from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at the school in State College.
Participants are invited to “shop” for gently used clothing, shoes and backpacks in sizes from babies to adults.
All remaining items will be donated to Goodwill.
Record Store Day — Saturday, April 12
Fez Records will have special selections for Record Store Day on Saturday, April 12, at the store in Bellefonte.
Titles will be available on a first come first serve basis in store only. The remaining stock will be available to purchase online at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 13.
SpikesFest — Saturday, April 12
SpikesFest will return starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Medlar Field in State College.
The free annual springtime event features Penn State baseball, fireworks, a charity auction, fun booths, kids activities, mascot appearances and more.
Centre County Ballroom Dance — Sunday, April 13
The April Centre County Ballroom Dance will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte.
The dance will start with a salsa lesson followed by dancing and then a showcase. Admission is $10 a person and guests are asked to bring a snack to share.
Bellefonte Sunday Afternoon Chamber Music Series — Sunday, April 13
The next concert for the Bellefonte Sunday Afternoon Concert Series will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
Sponsored by the Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association, the Strath Hanna Celtic Band will perform toe-tapping traditional folk music from the British Isles on fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar and piano.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Happy Valley Puzzle Brewery Puzzle Competition — Sunday, April 13
Enter with a team to see how quickly you can complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle at the Happy Valley Puzzle Brewery Puzzle Competition at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at Axemann Brewery in Bellefonte.

Saint Mark Lutheran Church is hosting a worship service for Pal/Passion Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, at the church in Howard.
A coffee hour will follow the service.
Print Factory Writing Group — Sunday, April 13
The Print Factory Writing Group will meet at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at the Print Factory in Bellefonte.
The new writing group is aimed at connecting and supporting local writers. Everyone is welcome to bring a project they’re working on or a book they’d like to read.
Centre Region Model Investment Club Monthly Meeting — Monday, April 14
The Centre Region Model Investment Club of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of BetterInvesting will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 14, in the Mazza Room of the South Hills School of Business and Technology in State College.

Bird Walks with the State College Bird Club — Tuesday, April 15
The State College Bird Club and the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center are hosting a bird walk at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at the nature center in State College.
Guests are invited to start off their day by observing birds that are migrating to and through the Centre Region. The program is open to all ages and is great for beginners.
A donation of $5 is suggested to support Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, and guests are asked to dress for the weather and bring binoculars.
Centre Pieces Quilt Guild Monthly Day Meeting — Wednesday, April 16
Centre Pieces Quilt Guild is hosting its monthly day gathering at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at Pine Hall Lutheran Church in State College.
At the meeting, there will be a round-robin style of sharing quilting techniques, by guild members. Some of the techniques include binding, making flying geese and hand quilting.
The sessions are short and informative. Guests are invited for an afternoon of fun and an opportunity to meet other quilters and learn about CPQG.
Nittany Baptist Church Children’s Program — Wednesday, April 16
Nittany Baptist Church will have its AWANA program for kids grades kindergarten through sixth at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at the church in State College.

The bi-weekly event features singing, storytelling and poetry. The performances will start at 7 p.m.

Pleasant Gap Fire Company will host a series of community education nights each month with one-hour classes open to families and all community members.
