Friday Concert on the Village Green — Friday, July 4

Kenny Hawkins will perform the Friday Concert on the Village Green from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 4, at the Lemont Village Green in Lemont.

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair for sitting and are welcome to bring a picnic.

Ice cream cones will be served by Scout Troop 367 with a contribution to the troop for projects.

Summer Sounds from the Gazebo — Friday, July 4

The State College Municipal Band and the Bellefonte Community Band will have a concert at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 4, at Talleyrand Park in Bellefonte.

The concert provides majestic marches, melodious melodies and toe-tapping tunes.

Harvest Tasting — Friday, July 4

There will be a Harvest Tasting from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 4, at the Arboretum at Penn State in State College.

Guests are invited to come out and explore the flavors of the growing season with a taste of fresh produce grown in the beds of the children’s garden.

Star Party —Saturday, July 5

The Arboretum at Penn State is hosting a Star Party at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 5.

The after-hours event is 18 and older and features stargazing provided by the Central Pennsylvania Observers. The event is free and open to the public.

12th Annual WamBam Mountain Jam — Saturday, July 5

The 12th Annual WamBam Mountain Jam will start at noon on Saturday, July 5, at 1547 E. Mountain Road, Port Matilda.

The family-friendly event is free, offering more than 12 hours of live music from local musicians. Food vendors will be available at the event.

South Hills 2025 Summer Concert Series — Sunday, July 6

The South Hills School of Business and Technology is hosting its 36th annual Summer Music Picnic Series, with the Bellefonte Community Band and the State College Area Municipal Band at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, on the North Lawn of the school in State College.

Music begins at 6 p.m. and guests are asked to bring their picnic dinner, drinks, chairs and blankets to enjoy music on the lawn. Lemonade will be available for a dollar a glass.

Sunday Funday — Sunday, July 6

Smith + Front is teaming up with Brass 16823 for its 2025 Sunday Funday series from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, in the parking lot of Titan Energy Park in Bellefonte.

The event will feature a pop-up market, food trucks, live music and more.

Print Factory Writing Group — Sunday, July 6

The Print Factory Writing Group will meet at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, at the Print Factory in Bellefonte.

The new writing group is aimed at connecting and supporting local writers. Everyone is welcome to bring a project they’re working on or a book they’d like to read.

Summer Sounds from the Gazebo — Sunday, July 6

Summer Sounds from the Gazebo will feature Jonny Bull, playing classic rock, oldies and country, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, at Talleyrand Park in Bellefonte.

The concert series began in 1981, bringing free mini-concerts to residents from June through August.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for sitting.

Knit Wits — Monday, July 7

Community members are invited to bring their knitting or crocheting projects from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 7, at the Holt Memorial Library in Philipsburg.

All skill levels are welcome to join. There is no set project, so guests are asked to bring what they are currently working on.

Centre Pieces Quilt Guild Monthly Evening Meeting — Tuesday, July 8

Centre Pieces Quilt Guild will have its Monthly Evening Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, at Blue Course Community Church in State College.

At the meeting, there will be a presentation on efficient quilting. Guests are invited for a fun evening and an opportunity to meet other quilters and learn more about the Centre Pieces Quilt Guild.

Children and Youth Day at the Arts Festival —Wednesday, July 9

The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts will host its Children and Youth Day at the Arts Festival starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, in downtown State College.

The day is devoted to young artists, young performers, young guests and the young at heart. There will be a Children and Youth Sidewalk Sale featuring artists aged 8 to 18.

Nittany Baptist Church Children’s Program — Wednesday, July 9

Nittany Baptist Church will have its AWANA program for kids in grades kindergarten through sixth at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the church in State College.

The program is designed to build a spiritual foundation in children to help them navigate life using the nationally recognized AWANA program. The program will be in building two. For more information, call 814-360-7157.

WingFest Round 4 — Thursday, July 10

WingFest Round 4 will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, at Tussey Mountain in Boalsburg.

There will be live music by The Amish Outlaws and Felix & the Hurricanes.

The wing competitors include Valley Girl Co., Twisted Whisk, Texas Roadhouse, Celebrities, Blonde Bistro, Floating Feathers and the Bull Pen. Voting for your favorite wing vendor ends at 9:30 p.m.

Open Mic Night at the Print Factory — Thursday, July 10

The Print Factory in downtown Bellefonte is hosting an Open Mic Night at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

All talents are welcome from singing and storytelling to poetry, original work and covers.

People’s Choice Festival — Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14

The People’s Choice Festival will be back at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall from Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14.

The festival features Pennsylvania’s finest artists and crafters.

In addition to the arts, there will be food, wine and live entertainment.

Online Auction Benefiting Saint Joseph’s Athletics — Through Monday, Aug. 16

All are invited to bid on great prizes in the Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy online auction benefiting the athletic program.

Prizes include tailgating supplies, jewelry, golf outings, fitness memberships, a Yeti cooler, meals at great local restaurants and more.
