Centre County Gazette Managing Editor Julie Noal visited third and fourth-graders at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Bellefonte on Friday, Nov. 14. The students and teachers learned how newspapers are put together, how news stories are developed, the difference between libel and slander, and the importance of Right-to-Know laws and how those laws ensure that society knows how their elected officials are governing their communities. The students also enjoyed a question-and-answer session. The classes are taught by Bethany Ickes and Michelle Russell.
