STATE COLLEGE — The Nittany Mountain Biking Association will hold its bike park ribbon cutting and opening day beginning at 12:30 p.m. on May 21.
Due to the generosity of many individuals, organizations and businesses, the Centre County region is home to an outdoor recreation facility where community members of all ages and abilities can develop mountain biking skills, improve overall fitness and just have fun.
Those attending the grand opening will be eligible to win door prizes from Purple Lizard Maps, Stan’s NoTubes, Climb Nittany, the Bike Roost and more.
After a brief ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be a family fun event with door prizes, a bounce house, kids’ activities, refreshments and an opportunity to connect with representatives from Happy Valley Women’s Cycling, the Centre County Crows youth bike team, Nittany Mountain Biking Association and Clearwater Conservancy/Rothrock Trail Alliance to learn about additional biking opportunities in the area.
The bike park is just off the main parking lot of Calvary Church at Harvest Fields.
