Angelman syndrome is a condition caused by a genetic change, causing delayed development, problems with speech and balance, mental disability, and sometimes seizures. Many people with Angelman syndrome smile and laugh often. They tend to be happy and easy to excite.
There is currently no cure for Angelman Syndrome.
Greyson’s Grand Adventure held its first walk in 2019. The organization was invited to become a national walk site and since then, has raised over $90,000 for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
The mission of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation is to advance the awareness and treatment of Angelman Syndrome through education and information, research and support for individuals with Angelman syndrome, their families and other concerned parties.
