• BEA went ahead after a 14-6 run in the second quarter and held on for its first win. Freshman Kinsey Clark scored 13 points and senior Gabby Perry scored 8.
Huntingdon 63, Bellefonte 22
State College 55, Carlisle 25
• State College caught fire in the middle periods and cruised to its sixth win with just one loss. The Lady Lions were led by Sienna Wilson and Jessica Hawbaker with 13 points each and McKenna Whitehurst with 12.
SJCA 69, Moshannon Valley 12
Bellwood-Antis 54, Penns Valley 52
• Despite 15 points by Paige Johnson and 10 by Elle Dinges, Bellwood held on for an exciting LHAC victory at home. The Lady Rams are now 4-3 overall.

Saturday, Dec. 21
State College 68, Mifflin County 29
• State College blew this game open with a 28-1 third quarter that sent the Lions on their way to win No. 7 overall and No. 4 in the Mid-Penn.
• Sienna Wilson led the charge with 16 points, while Sheree Wilson, Hawbaker and Whitehurst each scored 12.

Penns Valley 68, Bellwood-Antis 53

BEA 44, P-O 43
• BEA got its first win with a thrilling, one-point victory over P-O in Philipsburg. The Eagles came back from a two-point deficit heading into the last quarter thanks to six points by James Cowan and a big three-pointer by Wade Habovick. Cowan led the Eagles with 21 points followed by Luke Hosband with 10.

Friday, Dec. 20
Huntingdon 81, Bellefonte 74
• The Raiders hit a cold spot in the middle quarters against the Bearcats and then staged a fourth-quarter rally that fell just short. Bellefonte is still looking for its first win with Loyalsock Township on the schedule on December 27.
Carlisle 58, State College 54
• State College dropped to 4-2 on the season after Carlisle outscored the Lions 39-31 in the second half to take the win. SC, led by Reed Melvin and Charlie Yartz are now 2-2 in the Mid-Penn and tied with Carlisle and Harrisburg in the standings for second place.
