STATE COLLEGE — Juniper Village at Brookline is now offering SilverSneakers fitness classes led by certified instructors, providing residents and older adults in the State College community with access to a nationally recognized fitness program designed to support healthy aging.

“Partnering with Silver Sneakers allows Juniper to deliver trusted and proven fitness programming that supports longevity, mobility, and overall well-being, while creating meaningful opportunities for social connection within our communities,” said Rikki Goldenberg, National Director of Catalyst for Juniper Communities.

SilverSneakers is a fitness program for older adults, supported by research from organizations including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health. Studies show that participants experience improved physical and emotional health, reduced social isolation, and greater confidence in performing daily activities. Many participants report they would exercise less, or not at all, without the program.

“We’re proud to bring this highly successful, nationally trusted program to Juniper because it makes fitness welcoming, fun, and achievable. This partnership supports our commitment to helping residents stay strong, independent, and connected, so they can continue doing the things they love every day,” Goldenberg said.

SilverSneakers classes focus on improving strength, balance, flexibility, and overall physical well-being, while also encouraging social connection and engagement. Classes are open to residents and individuals with eligible Medicare Advantage plans.

Juniper Village at Brookline is located at 1900 Cliffside Drive, State College. For information about eligibility and local classes, visit SilverSneakers.com.
