Pictured is Senior Master Gary S. Josefik of Philipsburg, who is currently ranked internationally as a 7th degree blackbelt in the World Tang Soo Do Association. Master Josefik recently celebrated 50 years of involvement in the martial arts in the region. Master Josefik started teaching karate September 1979. He has produced over 400 blackbelts who are internationally registered. Master Josefik especially enjoys teaching children, teaching them how to set and reach goals, along with discipline and respect. He checks report cards during the school year, letting students know if you can’t pass in school you can’t pass and advance in rank under his instruction.
