LEMONT — A local small business owner is competing in an entrepreneurial contest run by Daymond John from Shark Tank and Entrepreneur Magazine.
Karrie Argiro, owner of Bliss Salon & Whimsy Boutique, 123 Mount Nittany Road, Lemont, entered the contest to win a $25,000 grand prize. Argiro said the funds would be used to move the salon to a newer, bigger location.
“I would reinvest (the funds) directly into growing and enhancing my business,” Argiro stated on the Entrepreneur of Impact website. “It would help me elevate the space, invest in my team, and continue creating an exceptional experience for every client who walks through our doors. My goal is not only to grow financially, but to build a business that provides opportunity for others, inspires creativity, and becomes a place people truly love to be part of.”
Argiro is seeking votes on the contest website at www.entrepreneurofimpact.org/2026/karrie-argiro to help win the prize. Supporters can vote once every 24 hours, and each round lasts one week, Argiro said. The contest ends in mid-May.
Votes can also be purchased online, and the money goes to a charity for disadvantaged children run by Daymond John.
