Troopers said they charged a 29-year-old Philipsburg man with harassment after he shoved a 20-year-old Philipsburg woman during a domestic dispute Nov. 22 along Halfmoon Street in Philipsburg Borough.

A 31-year-old Philipsburg man will face a charge of bad checks when District Court 49-3-03 said they received a check for $250 from a closed account Nov. 17.

Ronald E. Pinto, 54, of Philipsburg, was not hurt when he lost control of his pickup truck along Coaldale Road in Rush Township near Casanova Road at 2 a.m. Dec. 2. Police said Pinto was traveling south when he lost control going through a left curve. His truck struck an embankment, traveled along the embankment for 50 feet, then rolled over and came to a stop on its roof. Troopers said Pinto fled the vehicle and failed to notify police of the crash and will face charges.

Troopers said Nathan D. Taylor, of Looneyville, W.Va., was hurt when his pickup truck struck a guardrail and rolled over along Interstate 99 near mile marker 61 in Worth Township. Police said he was traveling north at 4:47 p.m. Dec. 3 when he lost control and left the west side of the road. He was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment, and police said they did not know the severity of his injuries.

Troopers said they found a small amount of suspected marijuana outside of an apartment building at 216 N. Second St. in Philipsburg Borough that probably was left there Dec. 4 or 5.

A 69-year-old Philipsburg woman told police someone stole a Star Shower motion Christmas light from her yard along 11th Street in Philipsburg Borough sometime from 2 a.m. to noon Dec. 6. The light is valued at $50.

Casey Rowles, 26, and Ian Hoover, 25, both of Morrisdale, were both cited for disorderly conduct for a fight along Front Street, Philipsburg Borough, at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 6, according to police.

An Osceola Mills man will face criminal mischief charges after troopers said he broke a kitchen table at a residence in the 400 block of North Seventh Street in Philipsburg Borough at 6 p.m. Dec. 10. Police said Lawrence K. Paul, 46, was in the victim’s house and under the influence of drugs “when he became irate and broke the victim’s kitchen table.”

Neither driver was hurt during a two-vehicle crash along Eagle Valley Road at Dix Run Road in Union Township on Dec. 11, according to police. Troopers said Sharon E. Shawley, of Julian, pulled onto Eagle Valley Road in front of a vehicle driven by Sherri L. Auman, of Julian, causing a collision.

Troopers said a 52-year-old New York man was arrested on drug possession charges after he was found with a small amount of marijuana following a consent search of his vehicle at SCI Benner in Benner Township at 12:10 p.m. Dec. 2.

Troopers said they will charge a 19-year-old Millheim man for taking a car belonging to a 60-year-old Millheim woman without permission sometime from 2 to 6:45 a.m. Dec. 6.

No injuries were reported from a three-vehicle crash along Interstate 99 near the Toftrees Exit at mile marker 72 in Patton Township at 2:32 p.m. Dec. 7, according to police. Troopers said Patricia L. Wagner, of Milroy, attempted to merge into the right lane while entering the highway and sideswiped a Kenworth truck driven by Jonathan L. Phillips, of North East, Md. Wagner’s vehicle then spun into the left lane, striking a car driven by Rebecca E. Horner, of Woodward.

One person was hurt in a crash along Interstate 80 near mile marker 166 at 6:10 p.m. Dec. 9, according to police. Troopers said Sarah E. Hale, of Clearfield, attempted to make an illegal U-turn at a crossover while she was traveling east, but her Jeep was going too fast, causing Hale to lose control. Her vehicle struck an embankment on the north side of the road and police said her passenger, Maddie A. Barnes, of Clearfield, suffered minor injuries during the crash.

The Lions Club in Centre Hall Borough told state police someone broke into their building and stole a gold lion containing about $20 sometime from 10 p.m. Dec.9 to 4:30 a.m. Dec. 10.
