Marching bands represent Centre County at band show

HOUTZDALE – Musicians and auxiliary ensembles from Centre County high schools traveled across the Centre County line to Clearfield County to strut their stuff at the annual Clearfield/Centre Counties Band Show.

This year, the show was held on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Moshannon Valle Jr./Sr. High School’s football field located at 4934 Green Acre Rd. in Houtzdale. Each participating school takes a turn hosting the show. A Centre County school will host the 2026 event, which is typically held in mid-October.

Participating Centre County schools included Bald Eagle Area, Bellefonte, Penns Valley and Philipsburg-Osceola. The marching P-O Mounties encompass both counties, with the district also including Clearfield County.

Participating school districts from Clearfield County included Clearfield, Curwensville, Glendale, Moshannon Valley and West Branch.

Each band performed its 2025 halftime show for the crowd that filled the home side of the Black Knights stadium. Following the performances, the drum majors of each band marched onto the field to receive a participation award.
