FERGUSON TOWNSHIP — Ferguson Township Manager Centrice Martin will leave her position when her employment agreement expires in January 2026.

Her resignation was announced at the close of the Tuesday, Dec. 2, Board of Supervisors meeting as the township continued its lengthy deliberations over the 2026 budget and aproposed real estate tax increase.

Supervisor Chairman Jeremie Thompson delivered the announcement moments after the board voted down a 1-mill tax increase with a 3-2 vote and prepared to move the amended budget to public hearing.

“It is both with gratitude and respect that the Board of Supervisors announces that Township Manager Centrice Martin has informed us she will not be seeking renewal of her employment agreement,” Thompson said. “On behalf of the board, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to manager Martin for her steadfast leadership, her dedication to public service and her many contributions to the well-being of this community.”

The township will now begin the process of appointing an interim manager while launching a search for Martin’s successor. Officials did not announce a specific timeline, but said more information will be released in the coming weeks.

Thompson closed the announcement with a final note of appreciation: “Her commitment has left a lasting mark, and we wish her continued success in all future endeavors.”
