MILESBURG — National Wreaths Across America Day was held Dec. 13.More than 5,600 locations across the country participated more than 260,000 volunteers.
Locally, the Milesburg Lions Club, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 893, and Milesburg Museum and Historical Society teamed up to be sponsoring groups for hosting at the following cemeteries: Eagle, Milesburg, Swamp Poodle, Trcziyulny and Advent.
All ceremonies were led by the Mumper-Shawley American Legion Post 893 Honor Guard.
Volunteers placed the wreaths on veteran graves. Some of the volunteers were scouts from Pack and Troop 353 of Howard.
