STATE COLLEGE — Mount Nittany Health rang in the New Year with a very special arrival in the early morning of Jan. 1.

Myles Peters was the first baby born at Mount Nittany Medical Center to proud parents Elliot and Caleigh Peters of Snow Shoe. Myles weighed in at 6 pounds 8 ounces of pure joy.

Welcoming the New Year’s Baby is a long-standing tradition at Mount Nittany Health.

The Joseph V. and Suzanne P. Paterno Women and Children’s Services Unit at Mount Nittany Medical Center welcomes over 1,300 babies each year. The unit features private labor and delivery suites, advanced technology and a dedicated team of physicians, nurses and support staff focused on safety, comfort and personalized care for every family.

The quality of care provided by the Women and Children’s Services Unit continues to be nationally recognized.
