Tree Recycling
STATE COLLEGE — Recycling of fresh-cut holiday trees will continue through Thursday, Jan. 16. Borough crews will canvas town once each week. Trees should be free of lights, ornaments and tree stands and should be placed with the trunk closest to the curb to facilitate recycling. If a snowstorm is predicted, please move your tree away from the curb to facilitate snow plowing operations and to prevent the tree from becoming part of a snowbank for the winter. Beginning Jan. 17, residents should submit a pickup request or call the Public Works Department at (814) 234-7140 to schedule a collection for regular Monday brush collection.
Zoning Hearing Board meetings canceled
STATE COLLEGE – The State College Zoning Hearing Board meetings scheduled on Jan. 13 and Jan. 27 have been canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 12:30 p.m.
