Applications for vacant council post due Jan. 30
STATE COLLEGE — Applications are now open for the interim council member vacancy at State College Borough. Individuals interested in being considered for the position, as well as community members who wish to submit proposed interview questions, are invited to participate. The deadline to submit letters of interest for the position is Jan. 30 at 5 p.m.
Calder Way update
Due to the amount of snow that accumulated and the low temperatures, there will be no work done on Calder Way for the remainder of this week. The weather has also caused some delay in material and equipment arrival. Tentatively, Monday, Feb. 2, work will begin.
Calder Way from South Fraser Street to Miller Alley will be closed to vehicular traffic. The Borough wants to emphasize that customers and visitors will have access to businesses during this time.
