PETERSBURG – Pennsylvania Native Plant Society will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center, 3400 Discovery Rd., Petersburg.
There will be an optional bird walk, forest therapy walk, and plant ID walk, as well as two speakers, and a native plant sale just in time for fall planting.
Learn how you can (and why you should) plant native plants, enjoy a native plant sale in time for fall planting, go on a guided bird walk or a forest therapy walk in the morning, and/or a guided plant ID walk in the afternoon, learn from this year’s speakers about how plant species and garden design in your own backyard impact monarch survival, and how plant conservation efforts are protecting PA’s endangered species on state forest lands, and take in the beauty of October at Shaver’s Creek!
The event is free and open to the public. For more information and to register, go to www.panativeplantsociety.org/2025-annual-meeting.html.
