UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State University will hold its summer commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Aug. 10.
Two ceremonies will take place on Saturday, both in the Bryce Jordan Center. The baccalaureate and associate degree ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by the master’s and doctoral degree ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
Penn State Transportation Services released a statement informing attendees and community members of the traffic impacts of the ceremony.
Parking for the ceremony at Bryce Jordan Center can be found either at:
• Jordan East — located east of the Bryce Jordan Center, and accessible from Porter Road (via Park Avenue or College Avenue) and Dauer Drive (via University Drive)
• Stadium West — located west of Beaver Stadium, and accessible only from Park Avenue
Additional ADA parking can be found at:
• Stadium West — southernmost row along Curtin Road and westernmost row along University Drive
• Jordan East — small section across from the Penn State All-Sports Museum and Beaver Stadium Gate B
• Jordan East — northernmost row along Curtin Road between Beaver Stadium Gates A and B
• Orange L — located near Bryce Jordan Center Guest Entrance
Parking in the designated areas will be free, made possible by Penn State Transportation Services.
“To help ensure the safety of all guests and to assist with traffic flow between each ceremony, guest drop-off in drive lanes is prohibited, and those with mobility issues may be dropped off in the ADA-reserved parking areas,” the statement shared. “These areas are ADA-accessible and located just a short distance from entrances to the Bryce Jordan Center. Drop-off and pickup in the drive lanes is prohibited.”
Additionally, Curtin Road will be closed between University Drive and the entrance to Jordan East during the ceremonies to ensure that pedestrians can safely access the Bryce Jordan Center.
