PennDOT announces Centre County work schedule

CENTRE COUNTY — The state Dept. of Transportation recently announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Centre County the week of July 13. PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in Centre County for the coming week through Friday, July 17 as follows:

Bridge Maintenance & Cleaning

  • Route 150 at a bridge spanning Marsh Creek in Liberty Township.

Guide rail

  • Interstate 80 westbound between mile markers 138 and 170.

Patching

Pipe Replacement & Cleaning

  • All of Route 1005 (Forest Avenue).
  • All of Route 3001 (Fisherman’s Paradise Road) in Benner Township.
  • All of Route 4007 (Moose Run/Thomas Hill Road) in Boggs Township.

Shoulder Maintenance

  • All of Route 3021 (Steele Hollow Road) in Huston Township.
  • Route 3040 (Plank/South Eagle Valley Road/Union Street) between the Blair-Centre County line approximately 5.25 miles south of Port Matilda in Taylor Township and Railroad Avenue in Huston Township.

Side Dozing

  • Interstate 99 (I-99) between mile markers 55 and 74.
  • Route 144 between Forge Road in Spring Township and Route 322 in Potter Township.

Vegetation Management 

  • I-99 between mile markers 55 and 73.
  • Route 322 eastbound and westbound between I-99 in College Township and the Centre-Mifflin County line in Potter Township.

This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen interruptions.
