PennDOT announces Centre County work schedule

The state Dept. of Transportation recently announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Centre County the week of July 20. PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in Centre County for the coming week is as follows:

Patching

Pipe Replacement & Cleaning

  • Route 322 at the Skytop Mountain Road onramp in Worth Township through Friday, July 24.
  • All of Route 1001 (Howard Divide Road) through Friday, July 24.
  • All of Route 1005 (Forest Avenue) through Friday, July 24.
  • Route 3025 (Fowler Lane/Bell Hollow Road) between Nearhood Lane and Election House Hill Road in Taylor Township through Friday, July 24.

Shoulder Maintenance

  • Route 144 between Green’s Valley Road and Rex Lane in Spring Township through Friday, July 24. 
  • All of Route 3021 (Steele Hollow Road) in Huston Township through Friday, July 24
  • Route 3040 (Soth Eagle Vally Road) between the Skytop Mountain Road interchange in Huston Township and Paradise Lane in Huston Township through Friday, July 24.
  • Route 3042 (Laurel Run Road/High Street) between Route 220 in Port Matilda Borough and the junction with Route 322 in Worth Township through Friday, July 24.  

Side Dozing

  • Route 144 between Forge Road in Spring Township and Route 322 in Potter Township through Friday, July 24.  

Vegetation Management

  • Interstate 99 (I-99) between mile markers 55 and 73 through Friday, July 24.
  • Route 322 eastbound and westbound between I-99 in College Township and the Centre-Mifflin County line in Potter Township through Friday, July 24.

This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen interruptions.
