PennDOT announces work schedule for week of July 6

The state Dept. of Transportation recently announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Centre County the week of July 6. PennDOT performs year-round maintenance in its mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system, and the scope of work in Centre County for the coming week is as follows:

Patching

Pipe Replacement & Cleaning

  • Route 144 between College and Jodon avenues in Spring Township through Friday, July 10.
  • Route 150 between Route 144 in Boggs Township and the Beech Creek Veterans Memorial Bridge spanning Beech Creek at the Centre-Clinton County line in Liberty Township through Friday, July 10
  • All of Route 3001 (Fisherman’s Paradise Road) in Benner Township Friday, July 10.
  • All of Route 4007 (Moose Run/Thomas Hill Road) in Boggs Township through Friday, July 6.

Shoulder Maintenance

  • Route 322 eastbound and westbound between Strawband Beaver Road/Sandy Ridge Trail in Rush Township and Interstate 99 (I-99) in Worth Township through Friday, July 10. 
  • Route 3040 (Plank/South Eagle Valley Road/Union Street) between the Blair-Centre County line approximately 5.25 miles south of Port Matilda in Taylor Township and Railroad Avenue in Huston Township through Friday, July 10.  

Side Dozing

 I-99 northbound and southbound between mile markers 56 and 73 through Friday, July 10.  

Vegetation Management

  • Route 322 eastbound and westbound between Strawband Beaver Road/Sandy Ridge Trail in Rush Township and I-99 in Worth Township through Friday, July 10
  • Route 322 eastbound and westbound between I-99 in College Township and the Centre-Mifflin County line in Potter Township through Friday, July 10.

This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen interruptions.
