STATE POLICE AT ROCKVIEW
State police are investigating a hit and run crash that occurred on Nov. 24, 2024, along Elm Road in Snow Shoe Township. According to police, what appeared to be a Dodge diesel truck turned right onto Elm Road and hit a retaining wall causing damage. The driver failed to provide information and backed out before continuing to drive off. Police ask that anyone with information regarding the case to contact state police at Rockview.

State police responded to a crash around 8 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2024, along Runville Road in Boggs Township. According to police, a 2016 Ford Focus driven by an 18-year-old Howard man was disabled in a ditch partially in the road when it was rear ended by a 2023 Mazda CX30 driven by a 55-year-old Bellefonte woman. The Mazda then spun around until it came to a final rest. Police reported that minor injuries were suspected.

State police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 6 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2024, along Nittany Valley Drive in Walker Township. According to police, a 33-year-old Lock Haven man was driving a 2008 Honda Fit when he traveled off the roadway hitting a utility pole before traveling down the embankment into a fence. Police did not report any injuries.

State police responded to a single-vehicle crash around noon on Dec. 5, 2024, along Marengo Road in Halfmoon Township. According to police, a 19-year-old Warriors Mark man was driving a 2015 Ford Escape when he approached a curve at too fast of a speed and slid off the road before the car overturned onto its passenger side. Police did not report any injuries and the 19-year-old Warriors Mark man was cited for the crash.

State police responded to a crash around 3 p.m. on Dec. 18, 2024, along Pleasantview Boulevard in Spring Township. According to police, a 78-year-old Bellefonte man was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla when he hit a rock in the northbound lane, overcorrected and swerved into the southbound lane. The 78-year-old Bellefonte man then hit the front end of a 2024 Lexus RX350 driven by a 64-year-old Spring Mills woman. Police did not report any injuries.

State police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 8 a.m. on Dec. 20, 2024, along Interstate 99 in Huston Township. According to police, a 29-year-old Tyrone woman was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue when she lost control on snowy, icy roads, causing her to hit a guide rail before spinning across both lanes of travel before coming to a rest on the right shoulder of the road. The 29-year-old Tyrone woman suffered minor injuries, police said.

State police responded to a crash around 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 21, 2024, along Interstate 99 in Patton Township. According to police, A PennDOT plow truck was driven by a 21-year-old Beech Creek man when he began to enter the interstate through a pull-through median. A 36-year-old Tyrone woman was driving a 2018 Dodge Journey in the same location when the snow plow pulled out in front of the Dodge Journey. The 36-year-old Tyrone woman was unable to avoid hitting the snow plow and spun out across the grass median after making contact before coming to a final rest. Both drivers were taken to the hospital for suspected minor injuries and the Beech Creek man was cited for the crash.

State police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 4 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2024, along East Sycamore Road in Snow Shoe Township. According to police, a 20-year-old Moshannon woman lost traction when she ran over loose gravel spread across both lanes of the road. The vehicle crossed over the center line before exiting the road and hitting a stump. Police did not report any injuries.
