Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred on March 2 at approximately 5 p.m. on I-80 eastbound at approximately mile marker 142 in Snow Shoe Township. According to police, the crash occurred as Unit 1 traveled in the right hand lane and made contact with Unit 2. Police stated that Unit 1 did not stop after the crash and there were no injuries.

Police received a report of criminal mischief that occurred during the evening or overnight hours of March 3 and March 5 in Philipsburg Borough. According to police, a suspect or group of suspects shot a BB gun or similar style weapon towards at least six vehicles which broke windows and damaged paint. Police said the vehicles were parked along 2nd Street, Hemlock Street, Alder Street, 6th Street and 14th Street in Philipsburg Borough. Police ask that anyone with home surveillance footage or eyewitness contact PSP Rockview at (814) 355-7545.

Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on March 1 at approximately 1:30 a.m. on I80 westbound at approximately mile marker 155 in Boggs Township. According to police, the crash occurred as Unit 1 attempted to pass Unit 2 when Unit 1 hit the rear of the trailer of Unit 2. Police stated both units sustained disabling damage. The operator of Unit 2 and a passenger reported possible minor injuries.

Police responded to a report of assault by weapon that occurred on March 1 at approximately 8 p.m. on Penns Valley Road in Gregg Township. According to police, the incident occurred as the known juvenile engaged in simple assault by physical menace. Police stated the investigation continues.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on March 3 at approximately 4 a.m. on SR45 in Potter Township. According to police, the crash occurred as Unit 1 lost control, struck an embankment and overturned. Police said suspected minor injuries were sustained as a result of the crash.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on March 3 at approximately 5 a.m. on I80 eastbound at approximately mile marker 149 in Snow Shoe Township. According to police, Unit 1 was traveling east on I80 and overturned onto its passenger side. Police stated the operator sustained minor injuries.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on March 1 at approximately 3 p.m. on Nittany Valley Drive in Walker Township. According to police, Unit 1 was traveling east when the operator had a medical emergency and failed to maintain lane position. Police stated Unit 1 drove into a ditch and struck a tree, and the operator was treated on scene.

Police received a report of theft that occurred on Feb. 16 at approximately 11 a.m. on 161 Hillside Road in Rush Township. According to police, dog medication was taken from the mailbox at the location.

Police received a call regarding a theft by deception that occurred on March 4 at approximately 4 p.m. on 206 Market St. in Milesburg Borough. According to police, the victim was scammed out of $800 by someone claiming to be Anita Thompson who was allegedly selling a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe on Facebook Marketplace. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact PSP Rockview at (814) 355-7545.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on March 3 at approximately 6 a.m. on I99 northbound at approximately mile marker 58 in Taylor Township. According to police, Unit 1 lost control and struck the guide rail on the right-hand curb and then struck the guide rail head-on the left-hand curb. Police stated the operator did not suffer any injuries.

Police responded to an incident of shoplifting that occurred on March 8 on 501 N. Centre St. in Philipsburg Borough. According to police, the crime occurred as the arrested utilized the self-checkout machine and didn’t scan $189 worth of merchandise and attempted to leave the store.
