Police responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred on May 12 at approximately 3 p.m. on 4th Street at the intersection with East Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. According to police, the crash occurred while Unit 2 was attempting to turn, when Unit 1 struck Unit 2 at its 11 o’clock position.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on May 12 at approximately midnight on 365 Coburn Road in Penn Township. According to police, the crash occurred as Unit 1 struck a utility pole and sustained disabling damage. Police stated Operator 1 was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Police said Operator 1 was found to be under the influence.

Police wanted to alert the public that a sobriety checkpoint will be conducted by the Pennsylvania state police within Center County in the upcoming weeks.  According to police, motorists that encounter the checkpoint will be stopped briefly. Police said when there is an indication that a driver has consumed alcohol or controlled substances, or committed any other violation of the law, the occupants may be detained for further investigation.  Police stated the primary emphasis will be on driving under the influence violations but all laws will be enforced.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on May 15 at approximately 11 p.m. on East Sycamore Road in Snow Shoe Township. According to police, Unit 1 left the highway and struck an embankment. Police said Unit 1 then rolled an undetermined amount of times. Police stated Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries and was wearing a seatbelt.

Police responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on May 16 at approximately 8:30 a.m. on SR45 in Potter Township. According to police, Unit 1 was traveling east when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Police responded to a call of theft/bad checks that occurred on May 4 at approximately 4 p.m. on 126 Mountain Ave. in Haines Township. According to police, one actor was cited accordingly.

Police responded to a call of criminal mischief that occurred on May 13 at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Old Fort Road in Potter Township. According to police, the incident occurred when an unknown actor struck a fence and cars. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
