State police were involved in a high-speed chase on April 7. Authorities attempted to stop Matthieu Sanchez, 32, of Houtzdale, who was driving a 2007 GMC Sierra, for moving violations. Sanchez allegedly refused to sto,p and a pursuit continued for eight miles into Rush Township.
Sanchez was finally apprehended when the vehicle was stopped along Strawband Beaver Road. He was taken into custody. The incident took place at 11:56 a.m., police said.

State police investigated a case of alleged drug possession on April 6. According to authorities, a 2019 Honda Pilot was pulled over along Interstate 99 in Benner Township at 11:10 p.m. Following a vehicle search, alleged controlled substances were found. The driver, an 18-year-old Port Matilda man, was released from the scene. Charges are pending.

A case of harassment called state police to Rebelz Gentlemen’s Club in Snow Shoe Township on April 8. Police said that a 37-year-old Unionville man allegedly harassed a 58-year-old man from Clearfield. The suspect was arrested on charges of harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness in the 1:58 a.m. incident.

State police made an arrest for driving under the influence on April 8. Authorities said they stopped a 20-year-old Pleasant Gap man at the intersection of Axemann Road and Eppley White Road in Spring Township. Police allege he was under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a blood draw.
Charges are pending in the 11:25 p.m. incident.

A case of driving under the influence was investigated along North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough on April 5. According to police, a 39-year-old West Decatur man was found passed out behind the wheel of his 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche. It was found that the man was under the influence of prescription medication and was unable to drive. He was charged with DUI in the 12:49 a.m. incident.

A case of theft is being investigated by state police. According to authorities, a pair of catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles parked at Ingram Fuels along Nittany Valley Drive in Howard. Police say the converters were stolen from a 2004 Ford and a 1999 Ford.
The converters are valued at $1,000. The thefts took place between March 1 and April 7, police said. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact state police.

State police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash that took place along Jacksonville Road on April 4. According to authorities, Clara Bannach, 22, of Howard, was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and struck a fence. Damage was severe in the 12:41 p.m. crash. The Camry had to be towed from the scene.

A case of harassment by communication was investigated by state police on April 4. According to authorities, a 28-year-old Spring Mills woman was the victim of alleged harassment. The incident was reported at 4:24 p.m. Appropriate citations have been filed, police said.

A case of receiving stolen property was investigated by state police on March 29. According to authorities, a traffic stop took place at the intersection of East Laurel and North Seventh streets in Philipsburg Borough.
The driver, Bryan Michaels, 47, of Morrisdale, was allegedly in possession of a stolen handgun, methamphetamine and marijuana. He was driving a 2011 Chrysler at the time of the traffic stop, which took place at 8:25 p.m.

State police are investigating a case of alleged theft that took place at the community park in Port Matilda on March 31. According to police, someone removed conduit and wiring from two pavilions. A case of alleged drug possession was investigated by state police on March 20. Authorities said a traffic stop was initiated along Interstate 99 in Taylor Township. Police said that a 19-year-old Nescopeck female was in possession of marijuana. The traffic stop took place at 1:46 p.m.

State police made an arrest for drug paraphernalia on March 17. While at a private residence along Elm Road in Snow Shoe Township, police discovered that Amy Bressler, 45, of Clarence, had an active warrant in Centre County. She was also allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Centre County Correctional Facility. The incident took place at 12:23 a.m., police said.

State police investigated a case of alleged theft by deception that took place on April 2 along Dublinwood Drive in Boggs Township. According to police, the victim gave her friend $800 to purchase a vehicle and the friend never showed up. The investigation is ongoing.

A case of harassment called state police to a private residence along Reese Hollow Road on March 31. According to police, Thomas Seeger, 51, of Julian, allegedly shoved his uncle, Alan Seeger, 77, of Port Matilda.
The incident took place at 6:22 p.m., police said.

A case of driving under the influence was investigated by state police on March 20. Police said they pulled over a 31-year-old man from Beech Creek at the intersection of Benner Pike and Bricker Road. The man allegedly showed signs of impairment and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a legal blood draw.
The traffic stop took place at 5:09 p.m.

State police investigated a case of theft that took place along East Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough on April 5. According to police, three Amazon packages were removed from a private residence. The packages belonged to Mandi Bush, 35, of Philipsburg. The packages contained a yo-yo, a friendship bracelet bead kit and a coloring book. All told, the packages were valued at $40.69.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact state police.
