CENTRE COUNTY — With Thanksgiving celebrations coming to an end, Centre County has a few events in the coming weeks to get people geared up for the rest of the holidays. From craft fairs to cookie exchanges, there is something for everyone, including the little ones that make up the community.
Santa is set to come to town not just on Christmas Eve but also throughout the month to spread some Christmas magic.
On Saturday, Dec. 7, Dolce Vita Desserts will host Old Saint Nick at its “Milk and Cookies with Santa” event. Then on Saturday, Dec. 21, the Walker Fire Company will host “Breakfast with Santa.”
Dolce Vita Dessert’s event will provide each child with cookies, icing and sprinkles to create their own cookies. Along with this, each participant will be given a glass of milk to enjoy with their cookie. Santa will be there to meet and take photographs with the children.
The event is $10 per person via online sign up or $12 at the door. Children with allergies or food restrictions should register online where a spot for food requirements is available. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Register at dvdesserts.com.
After Santa gets his fill of cookies, he will fuel up for a night of gift giving at “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Walker Township Fire Company. The event is from 8 to 11 a.m. and will include pancakes and eggs.
Children will have the chance to get their photo taken with Santa. To attend the event, a $10 donation for adults and a $5 donation for children under the age of 12 is requested.
