STATE COLLEGE — To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, the Happy Valley Latin Festival will present the 2nd Annual Latin Art Exhibition: “Hands That Build, Roots in Motion.” We plant, we build, we flourish. The exhibition will run from now through Oct. 16 in the lobby of the State College Borough Municipal Building, 243 S. Allen St., State College.
Under the banner “We plant, we build, we flourish — a legacy that never stops,” this curated collection honors the hardworking spirit, dignity, and contributions of the Latino community across Central Pennsylvania. The showcase highlights themes of physical labor in agriculture and construction, dedication in healthcare and education, and the vibrant cultural fabric woven into local community life.
The exhibition features a wide array of visual arts, including painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, and a special heartwarming showcase dedicated to artwork created by local children depicting their parents at work.
