STATE COLLEGE — Grace Carrington and Molly Workman each were seven-event winners as the State College Area High School girls swim team swept a pair of Mid Penn Conference dual meets last week, including a 117-66 decision over visiting Hershey on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Gabby Siekman helped the Lady Lions get first-place points in two individual events and two relays, as well, over the two meets. The Lady Little Lions won at Cumberland Valley, 111-75, on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

The State College boys split — taking down Hershey, 99-86, but falling at Cumberland Valley, 106-80 — even though Sam Huggins won seven events and Leo Garlicki six.

Individually, Carrington took first in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle races in both meets. At home, she swam the shorter distance in 24.49 seconds and completed the longer event in 53.02.
