STATE COLLEGE — State College has been named to the list of base camp sites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the organization announced on Monday, April 14.

International teams are now able to train at Jeffrey Field, the home of Penn State soccer, while staying at the Penn Stater Hotel. Jeffrey Field is currently under renovation, with new locker rooms, training facilities and an indoor field expected to be finished in early 2026.

Host cities close enough to State College are Philadelphia and New York/New Jersey. Those games take place from the start of the tournament on Thursday, June 11, all the way to the final at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, July 19.

Teams are not required to use State College, but when groups are drawn, look out for teams in groups C, E, I and L to book rooms at the Penn Stater.
