BELLEFONTE — A new exhibit featuring photographs of 10 Vietnam War veterans who have lived or are living in Centre County will be on display at the Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County during the month of April.

“They Were Soldiers — and Photographers” is a multi-artist show curated by R. Thomas Berner and according to BAM, the exhibit not only offers a glimpse into the war but also into the culture and the country and culture.

“What caught their eye? From the life of everyday soldiers to the surreal, see some of the photographs they brought home,” BAM said about the photography gallery on its website.

One of the photographers featured in the collection is retired Army colonel Vincent Tedesco of State College and his photograph titled “Khe Sanh Planes Burning.” According to BAM, other photographs featured in the gallery range from everything from mundane to surreal.
