CENTRE COUNTY — Two State College area hotels recently announced awards spotlighting the businesses’ hospitality initiatives and staff.
The Days Inn by Wyndham Penn State was the recipient of the 2025 Days Inn President’s Award for the second year in a row. The award is presented to Days Inn top top-performing hotels and celebrates excellence in service, operations and guest satisfaction.
“We are truly honored to receive this distinguished award,” Sean Peters, general manager of the Days Inn by Wyndham Penn State, said. “This achievement reflects the unwavering dedication of our team and our shared commitment to providing exceptional service to every guest who walks through our doors. We look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence in the year ahead.”
To qualify for the award, hotels must demonstrate outstanding guest satisfaction, completion of Wyndham’s mandatory health and safety training for team members and the maintenance of high standards over the years.
Moreover, the Super 8 on South Atherton in State College announced it was the recipient of the annual Pride of Super 8 Award for the third consecutive year. The award recognizes Super 8’s top-performing hotels and staff.
“We are extremely proud of this award as it validates our ongoing commitment to customer service every day. This award is a testament to our hardworking employees that include front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and breakfast attendants, who consistently deliver superior service,” General Manager Jessica Peters said.
To be eligible for the Pride of Super 8 Award, the hotels must have all of their staff complete the required health and safety training, demonstrate strong guest satisfaction and remain in good standing with he brand fir the last year.
Chief executive officer of Hospitality Asset Management Company, Edward Tubbs, accepted both of the awards on behalf of the hotels during the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
