HUNTINGDON — The Bellefonte Area High School girls swim team moved to 14-0 and wrapped up the Mountain League team championship with a 64-30 win over Huntingdon at Juniata College’s Binder Natatorium on Feb. 1.
Penns Valley also participated in the meet. The Lady Raiders were a 71-19 winner against the Lady Rams.
The Bellefonte boys split, beating Penns Valley, 52-36, but falling to Huntingdon, 60-33.
Bellefonte’s Kiaha McCool won four events on the girls side — two individual and as part of two relays. McCool finished first in the 200-meter individual medley and 400-meter freestyle in addition to teaming with Finley Musser, Katelyn Packer and Emmalin Pringle to take the 200 medley relay and Musser, Addie Pringle and Avah Colm to capture the 400 freestyle relay.
Kate Rarrick won a pair of individual events: the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Rarrick also placed first in the 200 freestyle relay with Packer, Addie Pringle and Emmanlin Pringle.
Individually, Musser triumphed in the 100 freestyle, Packer prevailed in the 100 butterfly and Addie Pringle was first in the 50 freestyle.
Huntingdon defeated Penns Valley, 63-28.
Carter Boone and Isaiah Johnson led the Bellefonte boys by notching two individual wins apiece. Boone placed first in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, while Johnson topped the field in the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.
Jacob Skrzycki garnered first-place points for the Raiders in the 400 freestyle.
Penns Valley’s boys fell to Huntingdon by a 76-15 count.
