West Shore Home hosts Toys for Tots shopping spree with Penn State football players

STATE COLLEGE – West Shore Home hosted a Toys for Tots shopping spree with Nittany Lion football players on Monday, Dec. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ollie’s store located at 1919 South Atherton St., in State College.

During the shopping spree, Penn State athletes were given a budget provided by West Shore Home and Harrisburg Toys for Tots to buy gifts for children who may not have something to unwrap during the holidays. The U.S. Marines that lead Toys for Tots in Central Pennsylvania were on hand to shop with the student athletes.

West Shore Home and Toys for Tots spent a total of $6,000, purchasing 750 toys at the end of the shopping spree. All toys are being donated directly to Harrisburg Toys for Tots.

This is the second year that West Shore Home organized this event with Penn State footba..

West Shore Home supports the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation each holiday season, donating more than 10,000 toys and $40,000 to the organization since 2021.
