Delta Schools Hosting May 6 Exhibition in Honor of Alternative Program Artist

The Delta Schools welcome the public to a special reception and exhibition showcasing the diverse artwork of the late David Boyer.
The event will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, May 6, at the Delta Schools, 653 Westerly Parkway, State College.
Boyer, a 1978 State High graduate and original member of the Alternative Program, Delta’s predecessor, died in 2025 at age 64.
An Arts Festival exhibitor in his teens, Boyer’s lifelong body of work includes oil and watercolor paintings, pen and ink drawings, thought-provoking posters, T-shirt designs, and even painted hubcaps, in a range of artistic styles including realism, surrealism, and abstract.
Boyer’s paintings, drawings, and posters will be exhibited at Delta on May 6, accompanied by a video catalog showcasing additional examples of his wide-ranging work. The exhibition will also feature works by Delta students, who along with the Delta community and a group of Alternative Program alumni, are hosting this event.
Come mingle with Delta students and Delta and Alternative Program alumni, be inspired by Boyer’s artistic legacy, and share memories of this talented Alternative Program original.
