When Penn State’s players gathered in their cramped Camp Randall Stadium locker room after defeating Wisconsin on Saturday, they were met by their spirited coach, Bill O’Brien.

It was just a few short minutes after the Nittany Lions had beaten the Badgers 31-24 in a game that odds-makers rated the home team a 24-point favorite.

That point spread was O’Brien’s main point with his squad in the week leading up to the game…

…and in the minutes after it as well, as you can see in this GoPSUSports.com video by Tony Mancuso.

As O’Brien stood in front of his small group of Penn State players (62 traveled, 55 played), who had upped their record to 7-5, his remarks were short. Sweet? For the Nittany Lions — definitely.

“Let’s thank the seniors,” O’Brien shouted, “because they mean so much to this place. They said we were 24-point underdogs. Twenty-four point underdogs! What are they going to say now? Great job!”
