Mount Nittany Seeking Volunteers to Help with COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Mount Nittany Health is recruiting qualified volunteers to help administer COVID-19 vaccines at the State College-based health system’s vaccination clinics.

Assistance is sought from community members including active or retired licensed health care professionals such as nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, nursing students and medical students.

To date, Mount Nittany has administered more than 11,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to community members in Pennsylvania’s Phase 1A eligibility. More than 7,000 future appointments are currently scheduled.

With demand for vaccines high, Mount Nittany introduced earlier this week a waitlist for eligible community members to sign up for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. Individuals will then be contacted when a time and date are available, rather than having to return to the Mount Nittany website each week to try to register for one of a limited number of appointment slots.
