Allan Myers of Pottersdale passed away at home on Sunday, May 10th, leaving behind countless memories with the family and friends who loved him deeply.

Allan proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He carried the values of strength, loyalty, discipline, and brotherhood with him throughout his life. Allan took great pride in his military service, and the leadership and resilience he gained in the Marine Corps were reflected in the way he cared for his family, supported his friends, and lived each day.

More than anything in this world, Allan loved his wife and daughters. Jessi, Aspen, and Savannah were the center of his life and the people he was most proud of. He adored being a father and treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was the big milestones or the simple everyday moments together. His girls were his greatest joy, and his love for them was unconditional and evident to everyone who knew him. The bond they shared was one of deep love, laughter, protection, and devotion that will never be forgotten.

Allan also had a deep love for his dogs, especially his loyal German Shorthaired Pointers, Ziva and Tony, who were constant companions through many of life’s adventures. Whether outdoors, relaxing at home, or spending time with family, his dogs were always close by and brought him endless joy. He had recently welcomed a new addition to the family, his husky, Gibbs, who quickly became another beloved part of his life.

Allan had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, golfing, or enjoying the peace of nature. Yellowstone National Park, especially the Lamar Valley, held a special place in his heart. He was also an avid sports fan with an undying loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles.

He believed strongly in giving back to others and was active in charities and nonprofit organizations including Angel Tree, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Above all, Allan will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, sharp sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and the love he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jessi Myers of Frenchville; his beloved daughters, Aspen and Savannah Myers; his mother, Tina Blackwell, and stepfather, Daniel Firestone, of Blanchard; his father, Harry Myers Jr., and stepmother, Elsie Myers, of Philipsburg; his older brother, Harry Myers III, and his children, Harry Myers IV and MaKaylnn Myers, of Moshannon; his younger brother, Dennis Myers of Pittsburgh; his sister, Kendra Gates, brother-in-law, Jacob Gates, and their children, Peyton, Aria, and Kenna Gates, of Pleasant Gap; and his stepbrothers, Jacob and Logan Firestone of Blanchard.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation services on Friday, May 15th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., located at 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823. Loved ones are welcome to gather in remembrance of Allan’s life, share memories, and offer support to the family during this difficult time.
