Carl A. “Allen” Ishler, 63, of Spring Mills, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at home. Born on October 8, 1959, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Ronald E. and June A. (Sharer) Ishler of Centre Hall. On August 6, 1983, in Boalsburg, he married the love of his life, Holly L. Clouser, who survives at home.

Allen graduated from Penns Valley High School in 1977. After school, he dairy farmed with his father until 1999. He then was an owner and operator for his custom manure hauling business from 2004 until 2018. He then worked as a parts specialist for LandPro from 2018 until present.

Allen loved all things outdoors and farm life; he could often be found on his front porch enjoying both. He was a member of Young Farmers, Centre County Farm Bureau, Potter Township Planning Commission, Centre County Conservation District, Buck Fever Camp, and a life long member of the FFA. He also served on the board for the Centre County Extension office. He was very involved with the Penns Valley Community and supported various events held by local clubs and organizations. He particularly enjoyed raffles. The Grange Fair was a yearly event he looked forward to. He loved watching sporting events, especially wrestling and football. He often could be found tinkering with farm equipment, riding along the creek on his tractor, and taking in the great outdoors. It was his place for clarity and peace. He was a compassionate and forgiving man, even tempered, and dependable. He was the rock for his family, supporting them and always made sure he was there for each and every one of them whenever they needed it.

He will be forever missed in the hearts of those he had to leave behind. His parents, his wife of 39 years; his son, Christopher Ishler and his partner, Eliza Walton, of Spring Mills; his daughter, Heather Ishler and her partner, Nick Yingling, of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Hunter Ishler and Easton, Riggins, and Beau Grimes; his sisters, Jeanne Ishler, Patty Wolff and her husband, Randy, and Sue Ayers and her husband, Jeff; mother-in-law, Dorothy Clouser; brother-in-law, Glenn Clouser and his wife, Erin; sister-in-law, Heidi Troup, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his father in-law, Glenn A. Clouser and his brother in-law, Robert Troup.
