Surrounded by her loving family, Christine Lynne Boob, of Aaronsburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 25, 2025. Born April 28, 1958, in Tyrone, Chris was a daughter of the late Donald Lynn Wilson, Sr. and Esther Romaine (Bailey) Wilson. She was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School. Afterward she attended the Altoona Vocational Technical School in the LPN program. On July 4, 1998, she married Lawrence N. “Peach” Boob who survives.
Chris became an LPN, working in different medical settings before taking a job with Geisinger where she worked as a Medical Transcriptionist. She was a member of Family Life of Penns Valley. Chris enjoyed studying her bible and always had a concern for her family, that they be saved. She also enjoyed quilting, audio books and was a lover of dogs. Chris was a member of the St. Frances University Community Blanketeers, an organization that makes quilted, crocheted, knitted and embroidered blankets for babies and children. Most of all, Chris enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Chris is survived by one daughter, Larri Jo Owens of Aaronsburg; three sons, Joshua D. DeHaas (Chelsea) of New Oxford, Brandon L. DeHaas (April) of Milton and Shawn M. Boob (Sydney) of Howard. Also surviving are grandchildren, Emma Jo, Bryson, Keegan, Elodie, Henry, Altin, Braylyn, Braxton and Aubrey.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Family Life of Penns Valley, 108 Ridge Road, Centre Hall. The funeral will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Hugh Flanagan officiating. Chris will be laid to rest in Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be given to St. Frances University Community Blanketeers or Family Life of Penns Valley.
