Clarence L. “Skip” Johnson, 64, of Boggs Twp., Centre Co. passed away at his home on January 18, 2021. Skip was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 30, 1956, the son of Roy S. Johnson and the late Phyllis “Jane” Myers Johnson. On February 14, 1976 he married Marjorie Coakley (Johnson) who survives at home. Along with his father and his wife he is survived by daughter Terri (Craig) Rogers; his son Scott Johnson and his 8 grandchildren, Sammy Connor, Seth Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Alexis Rogers, Jaisa Johnson, Easton Johnson, Kayne Johnson and Toya Johnson. He is also survived by brothers, Alan Johnson of Howard, Roy Johnson, Jr. of Howard and his sister, Barbara (Robert) Flick of Howard. Along with his mother he was preceded in death by several unborn grandchildren. 
For 29 years he was a member of the Milesburg Assembly of God Church, where he served as a Deacon, a Royal Ranger leader, worked in the nursery and children’s church and he was in charge of the sound board for many years. He also attended the Church of God, The New Beginning Church and most recently attended the State College Assembly of God Church. He worked for Penn Fuel Gas and AmeriGas for many years. He also drove tractor trailer for Davidson Brothers and Beam Brothers mail service, which he enjoyed the most. He enjoyed fishing, camping and working on his families vehicles and home repairs. He loved his church and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.


Family and friends will be received at the State College Assembly of God Church, 2201 University Drive, State College on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow with Pastor
K. R. Mele officiating. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Twp., Centre Co. Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church, 2201 University Drive, State College, PA 16801 in memory of Clarence Johnson.
