Eloise May McMullen Watson (84) died December 8th, 2021 at Centre Care in Bellefonte, of complications from Lewy Body Dementia. She was born June 10, 1937 to Harry (Whitey) and Pearl McMullen, one of eleven children and the younger sister to her beloved twin, Eleanor Margaret.  Eloise married her high school sweetheart, Donald Edward Watson, in 1957, and had three children, Edward (Michele), Sandra (William Dieterle), and Jeffery (Craig Haas.)  


Eloise worked in the Jersey Shore Area School District for 33 years where she touched hundreds of lives as an elementary education teacher’s assistant at Nippenose Elementary School.  She made her home in Nippenose Valley for 50 years where she was active in the Oval United Methodist Church, and was known for her baking and cooking skills, her generosity, and deep friendships.  


Eloise is survived by her children and their spouses,  five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, a sister, Sally Heil and four brothers, Kenneth (Joan) McMullen, John “Jack” McMullen, James McMullen and Richard(Arlene) McMullen.  She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five of her siblings.  


Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Milesburg United Methodist Church, 301 Turnpike Street, Milesburg, PA, where Eloise was both baptized and married.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Hale officiating, followed by internment at the Advent Cemetery, Moose Run Road, PA, and a luncheon at the church. Due to Covid 19 the family is requesting that everyone wear a facial covering. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Eloise’s memory to the Oval United Methodist Church, 6796 PA-44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
