Erma C Wilt, 90 of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte. Born on June 29, 1930, in New Bloomfield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kline and Lydia (Jones) Clinger. On December 18, 1950 in New Bloomfield, she married the love of her life, Dale E Wilt, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1993.

Erma was a 1949 graduate of New Bloomfield High School. She was a clerk for the Luse IGA in Centre Hall for over 40 years.

Erma was a member of the Sprucetown United Methodist Church. She assisted with many of the church meals throughout the years. She enjoyed reading and watching western movies. She would spend her time embroidering various things. She liked hummingbirds and liked to feed birds and squirrels. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. She will be loved and missed by many.

Erma is survived by two sons, Dale E “Buster” Wilt, Jr and Dennis J Wilt, both of Spring Mills; two daughters, Sandra K Gill and her husband, John, of Port Matilda and Cindy M Stephens and her husband, Terry, of Boalsburg; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Clinger and his wife, Dorothy, of Huntingdon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Erma was preceded in death by her stepdad, James Clinger; daughter in-law, Brenda Wilt; and four brothers, Howard Clinger, James Clinger, Archie Clinger, and Ernest Clinger.

All services for Erma will be private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Centre County Memorial Park.
