Frances A.” Spark” Fravel, 69, of Beech Creek, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. She was born in Beech Creek on June 1, 1952, a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Wright Heaton. On January 9, 1971, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dan Fravel whom she would spend 51 inseparable years.
Frances worked in various teaching capacities in the Keystone School District retiring after many years of service. She was a former member of the Faith Baptist Church, Blanchard. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family. She adored her grandchildren and loved attending their various sporting activities, as well as time spent at the family camp. Spark always enjoyed flashy jewelry.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dan (Christina) Fravel of Bellefonte, Scott (Brooke) Fravel of Mill Hall, five grandchildren, Gunner, Gavin, Miller, Gardner, and Lexi Fravel, and two sisters, Theresa (John) Lumadue of Beech Creek, and Linda Gray of Blanchard. She was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin “Tyke” Mitchell Heaton Jr. She also leaves behind her faithful k-9 companion, Barbie.
