George (Eddie) Weaver 73, of Howard, PA, passed away at his home surrounded by his family, on June 9th, 2024.  Born November 25th, 1950, in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Guy E. & Ruby L. (Goodling) Weaver.  In 1969, he married his high-school sweetheart, Trudy (Kunes), of Beech Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie M. Poorman of Beech Creek.

Eddie was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and went on to Steven’s trade School, in Lancaster, PA and graduated as a machinist.  He furthered his career as a Tool & Die Maker at Cerro Metals, Bellefonte.  He also worked at Central Valley Transportation in Beech Creek, The Ranch Tavern in Howard, & Martin Marietta Aerospace in Colorado.  He then was employed at Penn State University in the Applied Research Lab, of which he retired from in 2013.

He grew up and worked the Family farm in March Creek, as well as cut & hauled paper wood to Hammermill & Tyrone.  He enjoyed spending time with his children & grand-children and going to “Weaver’s” Camp with uncles & cousins for many years.  He was a fan of Penn State football & wrestling, camping, snowmobiling & 4-wheeler riding.  Along with watching many westerns.

Eddie will be remembered for his work ethics & good nature, as well as a bit of agitating many of his family & friends.

Surviving is his loving wife, Trudy & his two children, Amy (Scott) Summey & Jade (Katie) Weaver; grandchildren – Tiffany Kolp, Evan Pletcher, Kendra Robinson, Vincent Barletta & Kaydence Weaver; Great-grandson – Suede Robinson.  Also surviving, his sister, Sheila Weaver, known as Tilk, & brother Dwayne (Sherry) Weaver and many nieces & nephews.

The funeral & visitation services will be held at Singer-Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 12th from 6 – 9 pm & a short visitation on Thursday, June 13th at 10 am, prior to the funeral service at 11:00 am.   The burial will follow at the Romola Christian Cemetery in Marsh Creek.
