Geraldine Irene Dreibelbis, 97, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died Monday, December 27, 2021, at Centre Care.
Born April 18, 1924, in Zion, she was the daughter of the late Miles N. and Bertha Weaver Vonada. On February 12, 1949 she married LeRoy Edgar Dreibelbis, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 31, 2011.
She is survived by four children, Darlene D. Torsell and her husband Bernard, LeRoy E. Dreibelbis, Jr., JoAnn D. Cunningham, and Ray E. Dreibelbis, Sr., all of Pennsylvania Furnace; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda T. Dreibelbis and her son-in-law, Val P. Cunningham.
Geraldine graduated from Hublersburg High School in 1940 and then attended Williamsport Business School. She worked as a secretary for 20 years at the Ferguson Township Municipal Office.
She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, where she was also a deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher.
She was a member of the Pine Hall Grange.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 31, 2021 at St. Peter’s United Church Of Christ, 1795 W. College Ave., State College, with the Reverend Dr. Renee Ford officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
